Chart-topping Turkish rapper Motive live at London’s Village Underground in September

Rapper Motive’s latest album Romantik was the most listened to album in Turkiye in 2023, topping the Spotify charts for weeks, as well as winning heaps more accolades. His concerts were among the most talked about events of last year.

This innovative artist is now set to showcase his talents in London with an exclusive date at Village Underground in Shoreditch early in September.

Motive – real name Tolga Can Serbes – is just 24 years old but he is already one of the most significant rap artists in Turkiye. With aspirations to be a rapper since he was 12, meeting Turkish rap star Tepki proved to be a turning point in Motive’s career.

The budding MC signed to MOB Entertainment and released his first single, Çekmece Flow, in 2019, which featured Tepki and other leading rappers, marking out Motive as one to watch.

A year later, the Istanbul-born music-maker released his debut album ‘Makaveli’, cementing his reputation as one of Turkiye’s most exciting new rappers and songwriters. Listeners flocked to hear Motive’s music and when his eagerly awaited follow-up long play ‘22’dropped in 2022, it entered the Spotify charts at number 6.

With nearly 3 million followers on Spotify, 2 million followers on Instagram, and over half a billion streams of his music, Motive’s star continues to grow bigger and brighter.
