The current Mayor of Bexley, Councillor Ahmet Dourmoush, has announced details of a charity dinner he will be hosting next month to raise vital funds for three local charities.
The dinner is being held at the flagship Sidcup branch of Walnuts Restaurant in southeast London, on Sunday, 8 October. Tickets for the Sunday Roast special are priced at £25 per person, which includes a 2-course meal – dinner and dessert.
The Mayor’s Office told T-VINE that the event will be fundraising for the following local charities:
- Bexley Voice, which supports families of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities living in Bexley
- Centrepieces, a local mental health arts charity in Sidcup and Bexley that for adults and the local community
- Rauf R Denktas Turkish School, a charitable Saturday supplementary school that teaches the Turkish language and culture to children and young adults in Sidcup and surrounding areas.
T-VINE understands the October event is Cllr Dourmoush’s first charity bash during his one year tenure as Mayor of Bexley, with more activities planned in the coming months, which will raise money for other local charities too.
So, whether you love a Sunday roast and a good social, or simply fancy raising money for these good local causes, this is one dinner not to miss! See below on how to reserve your place, which can be made directly with the restaurant too.
