This month, the Yunus Emre Institute (London) are hosting two half-day workshops to teach the art of needle felting. Renowned felting artists and authors Elvan Özkavruk Adanır, Jovita Sakalauskaite and Berna İleri will tutor you in the core techniques of this beautiful and ancient craft.
Perfect for beginners, the workshop will cover the basics of making felt. This includes the different supplies you need, and how to combine different coloured wool fibres, as well as an introduction to producing your own fuzzy felt creations.
Attendance at this one-day course will not only mean learning new skills so you can create your own beautiful felt art works, but you will also have mementoes from the day that you can take home or give to a someone as a special gift!
Both Friday and Saturday’s half-day sessions are identical in content, and people are free to attend either one, or both. The cost for each session is £20 and prior registration is required – see below for details.
