Dear T-VINE, This is a long shot – I am looking for someone called Emine Ahmet Hassan who I believe will probably be about 74 years old and from the Turk Cypriot community. Emine was living in London in the 1970s and had three children (two girls and a boy). The eldest girl was born in 1961 and the youngest girl in 1972. The family lived on Hornsey High Street. In 1975 Emine gave birth to twins – my brother and I. Emine was unable to look after us and we were fostered and later adopted. We are not familiar with Turk Cypriot culture, but we understand it is a tight-knit community, so I am writing in the hope that one of your readers may be able to help with any information. Kind regards, Sarah Editor’s note: if you do have any information for Sarah and her brother, please contact T-VINE via our social media pages or by email, [email protected], with Emine Ahmet Hassan in the subject line and we will pass on your message.
