As their name suggests, the Turkish Women’s Philanthropic Association of England (TWPA) have been undertaking a host of charitable works to support local and international causes since their formation in 1975.
Their annual winter bazaar offers a chance to buy handicrafts, including traditional Turkish arts and crafts, beauty products, as Christmas and New Year presents, with all proceeds going to charity. There will also be home baked goods and other hot food on sale.
This year, the TWPA are supporting children and schools in their local borough of Haringey.
The Christmas Bazaar is a one-day event and will be held at TWPA’s own premises, near Turnpike Lane tube station. As well as arts and crafts on sale, children will be entertained by Santa in his grotto.
