On 11 April 2017, Enis Azmi Işık suffered a non-fatal drowning when he fell into the pool at his family home in Muğla, southern Turkey. With little sign of brain activity, the initial prognosis was bleak. His family, with the support of medical professionals in Turkey, decided not to turn off the life support machine. Nearly 18 months on, with continuous round-the-clock care from family and physicians, little Enis continues to show his fighting spirit, improving a little each day. But he is still a long way from returning to his normal pre-accident self. Devoted mother Ayla, originally from Croydon, London, has pored over international medical treatment for her three-year-old boy, who is in a vegetative state diagnosed with severe anoxic global brain damage. Enis’ best chance of recovery is through receiving stem cell therapy. Mummy Ayla has launched an appeal to try and raise £24,000 for this pioneering treatment. Family and friends have decided to do their bit to fundraise by organising a gala dinner in London. The event will take place on Saturday 3 November 2018 at the Bromley Court Hotel. Please show your support to Enis and his mummy Ayla by purchasing tickets and supporting a family that desperately need your help. The gala dinner promises to be a fabulous night with an exquisite 3-course dinner followed by lots of entertainment and raffle with amazing prizes. Your vital contributions really can make a different in saving this little boy’s life. If you can’t attend the dinner, you can donate to Enis’ appeal fund, or buy a raffle ticket for £10. If you’re on Facebook and want to keep up with little Enis’s progress, you can read his blog Enis the Wonderchild.
