The countdown has begun to the start of Dubai Modest Fashion Week, which opens this weekend with three fashion shows from Modanisa.com – the world’s first and biggest online retailer of modest fashion.
The Istanbul-headquartered fashion e-tailer is bringing in the A-team for its three shows in the Gulf. Supermodels Halima Aden and Tülin Şahin will be walking exclusively for Modanisa on Friday. First to showcase will be London-born Turkish Cypriot designer Raşit Bağzıbağlı, whose glamorous creations are worn by stars like actresses Tuba Büyüküstün and Meryem Uzerli, top model Doutzen Kroes and celebrity Paris Hilton.
Raşit Bağzıbağlı makes his modest fashion debut in Dubai, alongside brands well established in the field: Izmir’s Selma Sarı and Istanbul-based Muslima Wear. Turkey’s top model Tülin Şahin will be on the runway for Selma Sarı.
The shows take place at Burj Park, Dubai, on Friday 8 December, with Gulf royalty, celebrities, and modest fashion icons all expected to be in attendance for these invite-only opening shows.
The Dubai showcase follows Modanisa’s successful collaborations in Istanbul and London with Modest Fashion Week creators Think Fashion. The Turkish fashion giant, which sells to over 100 countries globally, receiving 9 million visitors each month who view the 30,000 items it stocks, continues its association with this important platform as the name sponsor for Dubai.
The action-packed roster for Dubai Modest Fashion Week, organised by Think Fashion and Red Connect, includes 30 catwalks showcasing the latest fashion trends from around the world. The event also offers networking opportunities for buyers, designers and global influencers, such as Dina Tokio, Isra Chaker, Mariah Idrissi, Sara Al Madani, Zaskia Sungkar and Gauahar Khan.
