The four UK home nations, Turkiye and Azerbaijan are all in action this weekend and early next week for the next round of the Euro 2024 Group Qualifiers.
Friday evening’s games will see England play Malta, Northern Ireland face Denmark, and Turkiye take on Latvia, all away from home. Wales, meanwhile, host Armenia in their group on Friday.
On Saturday, it’s the turn of Scotland and Azerbaijan. The Scots travel to Oslo to play Norway, while Azerbaijan are home to Estonia.
Turkiye are back in action on Monday, hosting Wales in Samsun in what is an important fixture for both sides. Wales currently heads Group D on 4 points from two games, while Turkiye is third on 3 points.
The British Ambassador in Ankara, Jill Morris, released a clip in Turkish confirming she will be among those travelling to Samsun to see the big game. Of Welsh origin and a big football fan, Ambassador Morris was in Istanbul last weekend for the final of the UEFA Champions League, where English club Manchester City beat Inter Milan to win the trophy.
