Whether you are keen to learn for personal or professional reasons, one of the best places to take up Turkish language classes in Britain is at the Yunus Emre Institute (YEI). Located in central London, YEI runs multiple Turkish Language Courses that are suited to all levels, from beginners to advanced learners. Classes are held at different times of the week to make them as accessible as possible.
YEI is currently accepting admissions for the new academic year, which will start on 25 September 2017 and conclude on 19 June 2018. Each course runs over two terms for a total of 32 weeks, which includes both study and exam periods, with breaks for Christmas, Easter and other bank holidays. Classes are held on weekday evenings and also on Saturdays from mid-morning through to lunchtime.
All YEI Turkish language teachers are native speakers, who will help assess your level with a language proficiency test before you start the course. This will ensure you are placed with people of a similar ability to you in one of six levels: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2. Class sizes are restricted to a maximum of 15 students.
There is a formal examination after each term and students receive a Certificate of Achievement upon successful completion of the course, which is accredited by Turkey’s national exam board. This means whether you are learning the language from scratch, or seeking to improve your existing Turkish language skills, you can do so with confidence and progress to a very high standard, with your qualifications recognised internationally.
The price of the course is £200, which includes all course materials and examination fees. Places are available on a first come, first served basis, and early registration is advised due to the courses’ popularity.
