Next Thursday, don your party shoes and come celebrate the launch of Djanan Turan’s new single Dancing Feet at the fabulously quirky Library Club in London’s Covent Garden.
Following the release of her EP Maze, the poptastic singer and her band have spent the summer performing on the festival circuit across Europe. Now back in the capital, Djanan’s got her disco groove on for her latest track.
Produced by Djanan, George Botis (Electric Lithany), Tansay Omar (Bjork) and mixed by Raz Olsher (Sam and The Womp), Dancing Feet has infectious lyrics, bouncy beats and funky riffs that ooze happy days: the perfect antidote to the onset of winter.
Released on Boldfish Records, the single will be available as a digital download from Nov. 11, which will include a remix from electronic music legends The Egg.
So glam up and come join Djanan as she and her incredible band performs a set that is guaranteed to get your mind, body and soul flowing on the dancing floor.
- Djanan Turan – vocals, synth
- Dan Lipman – clarinet/flute/sax
- Tansay Omar – drums
- Fatih Ebrem – guitar, keys
- Alice Mary Williamson – clarinet/backing vocals
- Alex Maranca – Bass
- Bubu – electronic drums/percussion
This being a double-launch party, the night’s musical magic also includes a set by fellow artist Alice Mary, who will be showcasing songs from her new album Quite Contrary. The singer/songwriter boasts an ethereal voice that cascades serenely over vintage jazz, folk, electronica and other off-the-wall harmonies.
It all promises to be a stunning night of music. And even better, it’s free! You need to be on the guest list though. See below for details.
