Lots of people are looking to learn Turkish or to improve their Turkish language skills, but finding a good course can be difficult.
Established two years ago in the UK by leading Turkish language teacher Dr Kübra Yıldırım Khan, School of Turkish is a great new language institution that offers online classes for both adults and children, catering to learners of all levels who want to learn the Turkish language.
The new academic year is the ideal opportunity for people to enrol at the school and start learning Turkish from scratch or improve their current level of proficiency .
Courses for the new term at the School of Turkish begin on 2 October 2023, and registration is already underway. Those who register by 8 September 2023 can benefit from a 10% early registration discount.
The language school splits its children’s Turkish language courses into the following age groups: 7-9 years old, 10-13 years old, and 14-17 years old.
There are weekly online classes with a maximum of ten children per class, with each session running for an hour for the youngest age group and one-and-a-quarter hours for the oldest. Fees per term vary from £130 to £150 depending on the age group. More details can be found under the “Young Learners” section of the School of Turkish website.
Adult classes are split according to proficiency, starting at beginner level (A1) and progressing through to advanced Turkish (C2).
Each stage of the language course covers a set syllabus and includes a two-hour online class each week on the Zoom platform, with class sizes restricted to a maximum of ten students. Course fees are £160 per person per term.
There is more information about the different adult classes under the Our Courses section of the School of Turkish website.
T-VINE asked School of Turkish founder and head Dr Kübra Yıldırım Khan about the upcoming courses:
“Each term at School of Turkish is ten weeks long, with classes held once a week. Our expert instructors methodically develop course materials for online classes to meet the individual needs of the class. Class notes, student homework and all instructional materials provided throughout the course are included in the course fee, without any additional charges.”
The school is organising free workshops and trial classes in September to anyone interested in trying out the classes.
“Our next free trial lessons are set for Saturday 9th September 2023 for children and Sunday 17th September for adults. The trial lessons allow students to gain insights into our teaching methods, presentation style and content before enrolling,” Dr Yıldırım Khan stated.
“Registered students will have the added benefit of being able to attend regular in person student meet- ups. These events allow students to engage with their classmates, and students from other classes, and instructors in person, giving them the opportunity to practise conversational Turkish too,” the school head added.
Registration for the new 2023-2024 academic year is now open. For the course calendar, syllabuses, and further details visit www.schoolofturkish.com.
