Half Turkish, half Geordie, Louise Young’s debut comedy show Feral comes home to Tyneside

After a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe last year, upcoming comedy talent Louise Young brings her debut stand-up show ‘Feral’ to the iconic Tyne Theatre & Opera House for one night only.

Described as a show about “class, chaos and coming out”, Feral draws on Young’s own crazy life experiences, from her boozy youth to mental health crisis, and brushes with the police.

Skilfully weaving hilarious anecdotes with heavier themes, Young’s stories journey through time as she reflects on the trials and tribulations of growing up in Newcastle as a half Geordie, half Turkish lesbian from a working class family.

Her warm, witty and engaging style, coupled with her strong writing abilities, shone through at the Edinburgh Fringe earning her a nomination for the Edinburgh Comedy Awards Best Newcomer Show 2023.

Young has gone on to be a tour support for Alan Carr and Tom Allen, and has also been seen on Comedy Central Live and Channel 4’s Original Comedy shorts, as well as being heard on BBC Radio 4’s Fred at the Stand.

She also been in a nominee in the NextUp’s biggest Award in Comedy 2023 and Leicester Comedy Festival Best Debut Show 2022.

One to watch, Young’s Tyneside gig isn’t until March 2025, but tickets are selling fast for her homecoming, so book your tickets now!
