One of Famagusta’s best-known beaches is set for a lively afternoon of music, live performances and plenty of foam this week, with a free Turkish Cypriot beach party at Glapsides Beach.
Event organisers North Cyprus Bonanza presents their very first NCB Turkish Cypriot Beach Festival on Wednesday, 12 August. The fun kicks off at 3pm, continuing until late. Entry is free and the event is open to all ages.
The beachfront party will feature an extensive line-up of Turkish Cypriot DJs and performers from around the world covering R&B, hip hop, garage and other party favourites, with a large-scale foam party adding to the summer fun.
DJ Barış, DJ Master H, DJ Celil, and Memzy are among those on the decks, with live performances from Tamer, Solid 806, Rootz and Kazmaier and some surprise guests.
On hosting duties will be the ever-fresh Edski and the fabulous Nev G, who will also be DJing her trademark mix of 1990s R&B and hip hop classics.
Glapsides, a long sandy beach just north of Famagusta, has long been a popular summer haunt for locals, students and holidaymakers alike. Its powdery golden sands and shallow turquoise waters make it a fitting setting for an event designed to bring together everyone in North Cyprus, locals and international visitors and residents alike, for an afternoon and evening of party vibes by the sea.
