Özlem Warren is an award-winning food author and cook who has helped bring Turkish cuisine to the forefront of the international culinary world through her talks, recipes and workshops.
In mid-March, she teams up with the Yunus Emre Institute Dublin for the second instalment of the Institute’s ‘Culinary Crossroads: A Journey Through Turkish Flavours Series’.
Taking place at Trinity College Dublin, this engaging 3-hour evening event on 13 March will feature a talk by Özlem titled ‘Turkish Cuisine: Melting Pot of Diverse Flavours’, accompanied by a live demonstration.
Drawing on recipes from her upcoming book ‘SEBZE: Vegetarian Recipes from My Turkish Kitchen’, Özlem will showcase how easy it is to create a delicious Turkish vegetarian feast, while offering tips on preparation and recipe variations.
Those attending this workshop will be able to observe close-up as Özlem cooks diverse dishes, including the mouth-watering meze dish ‘Kısır’, do tastings and ask questions along the way. It’s ideal for anyone interested in Turkish and vegetarian cuisine.

About Özlem Warren
Özlem Warren is a renowned Turkish food writer and cookery teacher, recognised for her expertise in Turkish cuisine. She frequently travels to share her knowledge, offering workshops in her native Turkiye, as well as abroad including the UK, USA, and Jordan.
Özlem’s recipes and articles have featured in major publications such as Waitrose Food Magazine, The New York Times (Cooking Supplement), Milk Street Magazine, Hurriyet Daily News, and Daily Sabah. She has also participated in demonstrations, talks and workshops at leading culinary and cultural events such as the Taste of London, The London Book Fair, the International Edinburgh Book Festival, and a multitude of food festivals.
Her debut cookbook, Özlem’s Turkish Table, Recipes from My Homeland, received the prestigious 2020 Gourmand Best in the World Award in Food Heritage.
Özlem’s second cookery book, “SEBZE,” is set to be published worldwide in April 2024.
