Fresh from the success of its Beyond Borders I and II shows, the series returns to London’s Miart Gallery with a new collective exhibition showcasing the works of ten Turkish artists: Ahmet Yeşil, Dicle Çiftçi, İskender Giray, Jülide Günce, Koray Erkaya, Laura Margarita, Oben Yilmaz, Ramazan Tilki, Sebnem Unlu and Yiğit Dündar.
According to the press notes, Beyond Borders carries a dual definition. It promotes emerging artists whose origins are beyond the UK’s borders, while also surpassing the borders of what we understand contemporary art to be, with artists creating works using diverse mediums and styles that frequently cross the boundaries between abstraction and figurative art.
The public can see the works selected for the Beyond Borders III exhibition at the Miart Gallery from 28 June to 29 July 2022.
Located in the heart of Mayfair on St. James’s Street, the Miart Gallery is a spectacular three-floor, 500 sqm modern art centre. It was founded by Irem Deniz, a specialist with over fifteen years’ experience as an arts consultant. The gallery showcases a monthly rotation of internationally renowned and emerging modern and contemporary artists.
