North of England fans of Cem Adrian won’t have as far to travel as the Turkish indie pop star has added an extra date to his UK tour later this month, performing in Manchester on Sunday 28 April.
The acclaimed singer-songwriter will take to the stage at The Stoller Hall, a contemporary purpose-built music venue with incredible acoustics – perfect for Adrian’s distinctive voice and incredible vocal range that straddles bass to soprano!
Adrian, who was born with vocal cords that are three times the length of an average person’s, is one of Turkiye’s most highly regarded artists of the new millennium. His repertoire spans a wide variety of genres, from Turkish blues to jazz, pop and electronica, as reflected in the eleven studio albums he has released to date.
Songs from his latest album Gökyüzümün Yıldızları form the core of his material for his current European tour. Released last year, Gökyüzümün Yıldızları features ten well-known songs that Adrian has reinterpreted in tribute to the composers and artists who originally popularised them.
