The Yunus Emre Institute has announced details about its upcoming Turkish Community Art Exhibition, which will take place in central London early in 2020. The Institute is inviting British Turks to submit their creative works for consideration.
The exhibition is a showcase of the creative talents of both professional and amateur artists of Turkish heritage living in the United Kingdom.
Artworks can be paintings or sculpted pieces and can be from any member of the British Turkish community and of any age. The selection of art works for the exhibition will be made by a jury. All works that feature in the exhibition will be awarded a certificate.
The deadline for submissions is 20 December 2019. The jury will announce their selection on 10th January 2020.
Supported by the Turkish Consulate, the Turkish Community Art Exhibition ran for the first time at the start of this year. It featured 43 selected works by 21 Turkish artists and was viewed by thousands of people.
The 2nd Turkish Community Art Exhibition will open at Yunus Emre Institute’s Maple Street, Fitzrovia, premises on 27 January 2020 and run for three weeks, closing on 17 February 2020.
Those interested in participating can find details on how to make their submission, along with terms and conditions, from this link here.
