Earlier this year, a new community business group was formed: the British Turkish Cypriot Professionals (BTCP). Their debut event in May gave like-minded professionals the chance to network over a lavish two-course meal and fine wine. The BTCP are looking to emulate their early success with a second event next week: a networking dinner at North London eatery La Petite Auberge. The highly regarded French restaurant will play host to professionals of all ages. However, places are limited so pre-event registration is highly recommended. Sensing a gap for Turkish community professionals who want to combine business with pleasure, Eda Ayyildiz, Fatma Huseyin, Hilmi Osman, Ceyhun Seziguzel and Emre Gurler decided to form the BTCP in March 2018. Its aim are simple: “to improve and expand the social and professional lives of British Turkish Cypriot professionals in the UK”. The team hope to make BTCP networking events a monthly occurrence from 2019 onwards.
