Can you help with our special reader appeal? T-VINE Magazine is a free publication and relies on subscriptions, advertising and other commercial revenues to cover its costs.
We started out as a ‘labour of love’ project in April 2013, to give British Turks a voice and an opportunity to read news about their community, Turkey and North Cyprus in English. By publishing entirely in English, it meant everyone else in Britain and many people abroad could follow our news too.
Over the past four years, T-VINE has enjoyed steady, organic growth. The website now receives 60,000 visitors a month, and 200,000 page reads – no mean feat for a small, voluntary-driven team.
The print version of the magazine is a high-quality, 52-page full-colour A4 publication. We’re getting ready to print issue 10, with Hollywood actor Mem Ferda gracing the front cover of the new issue.
Our unique print and online consumer publication covers news, culture and lifestyle. Our content is created by a fantastic team of writers led by editor and magazine founder İpek Özerim. They include John Oakes (renowned Fleet Street journalist and now T-VINE deputy editor), Edward Rowe (news and features), critics Ersim Evroy (film), Leyla Kazim (food and travel) and Zeren Wilson (food and drink), writers Muhsin Mustafa (culture and leisure), and columnists Eray & Koray, Ertanch Hidayettin, Feriha Ibrahim (wellbeing), Fevzi Hussein, Semra Eren-Nijhar and Yonca Ali (agony aunt). All our writers currently contribute on a voluntary basis.
Today, we’re asking our readers and supporters to help generate sufficient revenue to take T-VINE to the next level, allowing us to hire permanent staff and to print the publication more frequently.
