If you are a young person aged between 14 and 24 living in London and curious about film-related events, this is your chance to sign up for a series of free workshops.
Film charity Balik Arts is offering young people an opportunity to learn about the different aspects of organising film events, from screenings to fully-fledged film festivals.
The training involves ten in-person and online workshops with great guest speakers, tutors, and also the chance to visit the set of a short film.
Those who take part in the training then get to put their new skills into practice by helping to organise two film screenings in North London as part of Balik Arts’s annual Taste of Anatolia Film Festival, which is taking place between 5 and 11 November 2022.
The date of the training has yet to be confirmed, but there is a preliminary meeting for anyone who is interested at the Fieldseat Café in Tottenham, North London, on Sunday afternoon, 17 July.
To sign-up to the course or to register your interest, simply click on this link and complete the form.
If you are unable to make it to the first meeting on Sunday, but still would like to join in future, please complete the form and email Balik Arts at: info@balikarts.org.uk
One person from the training project will also be given a space to take part in a youth exchange held in Trento, Italy, in September. All travel, accommodation and meals will be provided as part of the exchange.
