This Wednesday, join drummer Tansay Omar’s band Funkshy for the official launch of their latest album A London Rhythm. The mid-week party takes place at the newly opened Five Miles club in North London, with live music from the band, special guests and DJs to keep everyone locked to the dance floor.
The event is co-hosted by Lazy Robot Records, which recently released Tom Funk’s foot stompingly good Disco Town EP. Collaborating with Funkshy and its label NRR Music, they will be bringing together like-minded musicians in a celebration of all things funky.
The line-up includes DJ sets from Lexus Blondin (Total Refreshment Centre/ Church Of Sound) and Back2Back FM’s Dan Tenor-City, Kylson, the PaulSki Sound System, and Tom Funk spinning throughout the night on Five Mile’s state of the art, bespoke sound system.
The new venue, part of Affinity Brew, is just 5 minutes away from Seven Sisters tube station and five miles from the centre of London. And with free entry for early arrivals, you know it makes sense to don your party shoes and get down to South Tottenham on Wednesday.
